SERVE DAY FAQ's
What is Serve Day?
Serve Day is a church-wide opportunity to go out into our community and be the Church in action. It’s a day dedicated to serving others and showing the love of Jesus in practical ways—meeting needs, building relationships, and bringing hope beyond the walls of our church. We partner with schools, organizations, residents, and others in our community to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who may never step inside a church building.
Do I need to register for Serve Day?
Yes, we ask that you register for Serve Day as space is limited. Click Here To Register
Do we have normal church services at Nona Church on July 5?
On July 4 and 5, we will not hold our normal Saturday and Sunday services. Instead, we will gather on Sunday at both campuses to connect with your Serve Team, join together for a Worship Rally, and then head out to serve our community. Some teams will serve on-site at the campus, while others will go out into the community. After serving, all teams will return to the campus for an After Party, where we’ll celebrate together and enjoy lunch while connecting with our community.
What if it rains?
Serve Day happens rain or shine. In the event of any last-minute changes, communication will be sent via email.
Is childcare available?
Serve Day is a family event, and we encourage you to serve together. Childcare will not be provided, but children of all ages are welcome to participate. Most projects are family-friendly, and any age requirements will be noted during the registration process.
What time should I arrive?
Most Serve Day projects will meet at either our Moss Park or Narcoossee campuses. Check-in will take place from 8:00–8:30 AM, followed by our Serve Day Worship Rally starting at 8:30 AM. A few projects will meet off-site, and you will be notified of your location during registration.
What should I bring with me on Serve Day?
We recommend bringing any personal items you may need for the day, such as a water bottle, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes. Before Serve Day, you will receive an email if your assigned site requires any additional items like tools, landscaping equipment, or other supplies.
Who should I contact if I have questions about Serve Day?

LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE
God has uniquely gifted each of us—and Serve Day is your opportunity to use those gifts to love where you live. On July 5th, we're stepping out into our community to be the hands and feet of Jesus, showing our neighbors that God's love is real, tangible, and alive.
Whether you're serving at a local nonprofit, writing encouraging notes, caring for those in need, or using your skills to make a difference—your presence matters. Your gifts matter. We are the church in action.
When you love where you live with purpose, you don't just change your community. You experience what it means to truly follow Jesus. You'll discover deeper meaning, genuine connection, and the joy that comes from living out your faith right where God has placed you.
‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ Matthew 25:40
